Tastings at Landolt

Like every wine drinker, our employees also have their preferences. Wine regions they are particularly fond of. And so our wine consultants chose their favourite topics, which they each present on a tasting evening.

Beginners' courses are also new. You don't know very much about wine yet, but would like to acquire some know-how? Come along.

Participation in a tasting costs 40 francs. Get to know the subtleties and stories about our wines. The 90-minute tasting (from 6.30 p.m. to 8 p.m.) includes an aperitif, around six different wines, mineral water and appetisers. The tastings take place at the enotheca.

Friday, 5 February: for beginners
Our Vinothek Manager, Marcel Einfalt, will introduce you to the diverse world of wine.

Thursday, 4 March: Austria - from scandal to the strictest wine law in Europe.
Marius Ammann, from St. Gallen, presents the wine world of Austria. The choice of topic is no surprise. He knows the wine world of the country with the second most beautiful Alps like his hometown.

Wednesday, 7 April: Apulia, the glow of the south
Manager and owner Marc Landolt loves many wines. But he makes no secret of the fact that Italy is his favourite country and Puglia his favourite region. Countless trips to the "heel of the boot" not only brought the Landolt range many first-class wines, Marc Landolt therefore also cultivates many good friendships with winemakers.

Friday, 7 May: White wine from autochthonous grape varieties
Gastronomy wine consultant Artim Ibraimi likes it sophisticated. He is particularly fond of autochthonous grape varieties from various wine regions. Chardonnay can be found everywhere, but the subtleties of a region are only revealed in those grape varieties that have sometimes been cultivated in special places for centuries.

Friday, 4 June (Outdoor in the vineyards): City and Canton of Zurich - drink local!
Wolfgang Langanger comes from Austria, but he has lost his heart to the city and canton of Zurich. He knows more about the history of regional viticulture than almost anyone else. An expert of the first order, he is, together with the winegrowers, mainly responsible for the wines "from our own hunt". (Note: In case of bad weather, the tasting will take place in the enotheca)

Friday, 2 July (Outdoor in the vineyards): Summer Wines
Marcel Einfalt, like Wolfgang Langanger, ventures into the vinyards and presents his favourite summer wines. Surprises are inevitable. Because when you think of summer wines, you immediately think of white wines, rosé or sparkling wines. But there are also red wines that are perfect for warm days. (Note: In case of bad weather, the tasting will take place in the enotheca)

Friday, 30 July (Outdoor in the vineyards): City and Canton of Zurich - drink local!
Wolfgang Langanger comes from Austria, but he has lost his heart to the city and canton of Zurich. He knows more about the history of regional viticulture than almost anyone else. An expert of the first order, he is, together with the winegrowers, mainly responsible for the wines "from our own hunt". (Note: In case of bad weather, the tasting will take place in the Vinothek)

Friday, 20 August (Outdoor in the vineyards): Burger and Burgundy
Johannes Reiners, Deputy General Manager, dares a very special experiment. He combines first-class food with first-class wine. Wine from Burgundy, one of Reiners' absolute favourite regions. The tasting costs a little more because of the culinary accompaniment (more information to follow).

Friday, 3 September: Tour de Suisse - what you don't (yet) know about our country.
Just like in Austria (see 4 March), Marius Ammann knows Switzerland enormously well. On this Friday evening, he will present wines from Valais, Vaud, but also from Eastern Switzerland and Ticino.

Friday, 7 October: for beginners
Our Vinothek Manager, Marcel Einfalt, will introduce you to the diverse world of wine.

Friday, 5 November: Wines that speak French
Viktor Wettstein, wine consultant gastronomy, is a linguistic talent. His knowledge of French is also excellent. His knowledge of wines that speak French is even more excellent. A cross-section through what is probably the most diverse wine country in the world.

Thursday, 2 December: Christmas wines
Key Account Manager Artur Luitle spent some time of his professional career in Spain. So don't be surprised if he integrates a Spanish or two when it comes to the topic of Christmas wines. But Luitle's taste does not end at the borders of Portugal and Spain. Let yourself be surprised.
