Red wines from the South of France (Côtes du Rhône, Châteauneuf-du-Pape, Languedoc, Pays d'Oc) take advantage of the ideal wine-growing climate of the Golf du Lion. Cool winter seasons allow the vines to rest while the dry, hot and windy summers guarantee a full ripeness of the grapes. That is why Syrah, which thrives in this type of climate, is the dominating grape in most of the red blends. Like no other, the wines from the South of France match with nearly everything: For the most simple dish to the most sophisticated meal.
Domaine de la Jasse
Domaine de la Jasse, is situated some 15 kilometres from Montpellier in the heart of the most dynamic and leading wine area in the Mediterranean part of France. Its name comes from the shelter and shade, known in the local dialect as Jasse , provided by the Domaine s Plane tree. The iconic Plane tree, which is almost hundred-and-ten years old and provided the inspiration for the La Jasse trademark and logo.
