Pittnauer

Gerhard and Brigitte Pittnauer, also called Pittis, manage about 20 ha vineyard (95% red and 5% white) around the town of Gols in the Burgenland. Gerhard has taken over the operation from his parents early 90s and has managed in just a fewyears to make the company from a small no-name operation to one of the rising producers in the region. The Pittis have a creative approach to viticulture and their products. Since2006, the operation is referred to a organic producer. The result is vibrant, durable wines with typicity and ancestry just an individual stylistics beyond the mainstream. Gerhard Pittnauer is Falstaff Vintner of the Year 2014.
