This wine comes from the Valais, the upper part of the Rhone Valley which stretches from Switzerland to the South of France. The dry and warm climate is perfect for the production of well structured white wines and powerful reds. The most important red grapes are the world-famous Pinot noir and the fruity and spicy Gamay. This Pinot noir shows the typical varietal bouquet with aromas of raspberries and black current. It is pleasant and elegant in the mouth. Pinot noir can be enjoyed when young but has a good ability to age. It will match tasteful dishes of white meat, mountain cheeses and a plate of selected cold meats .
