The City of Zurich owns 13 hectares of vineyards yielding some 100'000 bottles of wine per year. With the additional 2,4 hectares of Burghalde (Riesbach), Landolt has become Zurich's most important vintner. Vineyard-manager Nick Zelikovic applies sustainable wine growing methods to the 1.6 hectares of terraced vineyard. Covered with greenery, it offers natural growing conditions for the grapes.

The family business Landolt Weine AG was founded in 1834 and has been located in the Brandschenkestrasse in Zurich (Switzerland) since 1841.
